When I got home from work, I found a steering wheel lock and an AirTag in my mailbox. The recent surge in used car prices is unbelievable. Compared to ten years ago, prices have skyrocketed to about ten times what they were. With the market like this, it’s nerve-wracking to leave my car parked outside for long periods. I decided to take a drive to the hot springs in Shimokuzawa and enjoyed the open-air bath and sauna. Since my car’s air conditioner is broken, I drove back with the windows down. The night breeze felt incredibly refreshing.

仕事から家に戻ると、郵便受けに車のハンドルロックとAirTagが届いていた。最近の中古車市場の値の上がり方は尋常じゃない。10年前の値段と比べると、大体10倍の高さだ。こんな状況だと、長時間外に駐車するのも怖くなる。
下九沢の温泉までドライブして、露天風呂とサウナに入った。車のクーラーが壊れているので窓を全開にして帰ってきた。夜風がとても気持ちいい。
