I got a thistle thorn stuck in my right big toe. At first, I tried to handle it myself by buying tweezers, but the thorn was deeply embedded, and I couldn’t get it out. I had no choice but to go to the emergency room and have it removed. It’s been a while since I last went to the ER; the last time was when I was riding my motorcycle and got something stuck in my eye that I couldn’t get out. I kind of like the atmosphere of the ER. There’s probably a lot of drama happening every day, but when you come in for something as trivial as a minor injury like mine, it feels oddly laid-back, almost like there’s a strangely cheerful vibe in the air.

右足の親指にアザミのトゲが刺さった。最初は自分でどうにかしようとピンセットを買って試してみたけど、トゲが深く入り込んでいてどうにもならなかった。仕方なく急患に行って取ってもらった。急患に行くのは久々で、前回はバイクに乗っていたら目にゴミが入って取れなくなったので行った。急患の空間が結構好きだったりする。毎日いろんなドラマが繰り広げられているんだろうけど、僕みたいにしょうもない怪我で来ると、どこか和気あいあいとしていて、なんだか楽しそうな雰囲気すら漂っている。
