I rarely drink alone, but I just bought a can of lemon sour—shochu mixed with soda water—at the supermarket and had it. I’m watching the results of the Tokyo governor election on YouTube. I live in Kanagawa, so it doesn’t directly affect me, but people around me were pretty excited about it. No matter how much politicians mess things up, I believe my happiness is ultimately my responsibility, and I don’t want to blame others for anything. Is it childish to wish politicians would just stay out of things and not make them worse? Maybe it’s selfish, but that’s how I feel.
