I went to the movies for the first time in a while and watched Ferrari. There are a few men I admire, like Benjamin Franklin, Howard Hughes, and Elon Musk, but Enzo Ferrari is definitely in my personal hall of fame. To me, he’s a much more fascinating artist than someone like Van Gogh or Picasso. There was a scene in the film where they compared the flow of gasoline through pipes to the racing lines on a track, and it gave me chills. However, the movie focused more on the human drama, and I wish it had delved deeper into the engineering side of Enzo Ferrari.

久々に映画館に行って「フェラーリ」を観た。ベンジャミン・フランクリン、ハワード・ヒューズ、イーロン・マスクな等憧れる男は何人かいるが、エンツォ・フェラーリも僕の中では殿堂入りしていて、ゴッホやピカソなんかよりも、彼の方がずっと魅力的なアーティストだと思う。劇中でパイプの中を通るガソリンとレースのライン取りを重ねている表現があって痺れた。ただ、全体的に人間ドラマに視点を置いた作品だったので、もっとエンジニア的側面にフォーカスして欲しかった。
